Mr. Utkarsh Verma is an Assistant Professor in Law. He is teaching at National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi since 2014. He did LL.M with specialisation in Criminal Law and Human Rights from the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi (2013). He qualified UGC-NET in 2013. He has published papers in reputed journals and law reviews, and presented papers at national and international conferences. Recently, he contributed a module titled ‘Forms of Different Punishment and Statutory Limitation on choice of punishment’ under the paper Penology and Sentencing as a content writer with UGC- e-PG Pathshala Project on Criminology. He also participated in a workshop on Death and Sex in Criminal Law organized by The Indian Law Institute, New Delhi (2016). In 2015, he participated in a UGC Sponsored Short Term Course in Research Methodology held at UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, Ranchi University, Ranchi. He is pursuing his doctoral research on Freedom to Access Internet: National and International Perspective.
